Status pipeline

Every enquiry moves through a status pipeline:

StatusWhen to set
NewDefault. The enquiry just landed.
ContactedYou replied via WhatsApp / email / phone.
QuotedYou sent a real number.
BookedTraveller confirmed and paid (or signed contract).
Closed (Lost)Traveller went elsewhere, ghosted you, or the trip was cancelled.
AllA view filter — not a status. Shows everything.

Why it matters

Updating status is two minutes of work that pays back two ways:

  1. Your analytics. The dashboard shows your funnel. New → Contacted conversion tells you if you are replying fast enough. Quoted → Booked tells you if your prices are competitive. Without status updates, the funnel is empty.
  2. Search ranking. Operators with high Quoted → Booked conversion get ranked higher in the public package search. The signal is "this operator closes deals". You earn the rank by closing.

Set Quoted as soon as you mention price

Even if you said it casually on WhatsApp ("our price for that group size is around $2,800"), set the status to Quoted. The traveller has the number; the funnel reflects it.

Closed (Lost) is OK

Every operator has them. We do not penalise lost deals. We penalise un-updated enquiries (the system assumes they are still open). Marking a stale enquiry as Closed (Lost) cleans up your inbox.

How to change status

On the enquiry card, click the status pill. A dropdown opens. Pick the new status. The change is instant; no save button.

You can also bulk-change from the Enquiries page — multi-select rows then choose status.
